You don't need to earn more to feel financially secure. You need a plan, some accountability, and someone genuinely in your corner. That's what Droplets Financial is here for. No hidden agendas, no products pushed for my benefit. Just honest coaching built around your life, and the freedom to live it on your own terms.
The internet has all the answers. What it can't give you is someone genuinely in your corner: checking in, celebrating wins, and helping you stay the course without judgment.
Financial independence isn't about retiring to a hammock. It's about having the freedom to choose. A career change, a passion project, a slower pace. Money should open doors, not close them.
My recommendations are driven by what's right for you. Full stop. Where referral programs exist for tools I'd recommend anyway, I'll always tell you upfront.
No two financial situations are the same, so no two coaching engagements look exactly alike. These are the areas I work in most. We'll figure out together on your free discovery call what the right focus and cadence looks like for your life.
For those ready to take real control of their money for the first time. We'll build systems that actually fit your life, not a textbook.
For those past survival mode and ready to go on offense. Tackle debt with urgency, start putting money to work, and build a net worth worth tracking.
For those playing the long game. Whether you're chasing full FIRE, Coast FIRE, or just the freedom to make bold life choices, we'll map a real path to get there.
The FI world has a lot of acronyms. Here's what they actually mean — and why none of them should feel out of reach.
The umbrella concept: accumulate enough invested assets that your portfolio returns cover your living expenses indefinitely. The classic target is 25× your annual spending (the "4% rule"). "Retire early" is a misnomer for most — it really means having the option to stop working for money.
You've invested enough that — without adding another dollar — compounding alone will grow your portfolio to your FI number by a target retirement age. You still work, but only to cover current expenses. The pressure to save is off.
Your investments cover most of your expenses, but you work part-time — often for health insurance or pocket money. The name comes from the idea of pulling espresso shots a few days a week just to cover the gap, not because you have to.
Full financial independence on a deliberately modest lifestyle. Lower FI number, faster to reach. Works beautifully if your life is already low-overhead, or if you're happy trading spending for freedom sooner.
Full financial independence with a larger spending budget — travel, dining out, generosity, whatever matters to you. Requires a bigger portfolio and longer runway, but doesn't ask you to sacrifice lifestyle to get there.
My personal favorite framing. FINE isn't about stopping — it's about having enough financial freedom to pursue whatever comes next: start a business, change careers, take a sabbatical, raise kids full-time, create art. Your money funds your next chapter, not just your last one.

I didn't grow up with a financial roadmap. Like a lot of people, I had to figure out money the hard way: through stress, bad habits, and lessons I wish someone had taught me sooner. That experience lit a fire in me.
Personal finance became an obsession. I dove deep into budgeting systems, debt payoff strategies, investing basics, and the behavioral side of why we make the financial choices we do. And somewhere along the way, I discovered the FIRE movement, along with my own take on it.
I'm not about scrimping through your thirties to scrape by in a tiny house at 45. I'm about building financial independence that gives you options: the freedom to take a risk on something you love, change careers without panic, go part-time, or yes, retire early if that's what you want. Call it FINE, Coast FIRE, Barista FIRE. The label doesn't matter. What matters is that your money is working hard enough that you're never trapped.
Outside of finance, I'm a collector at heart, the kind of person who goes deep on whatever catches my interest. My wife and I are expecting our first child, and we're on a mission to visit every U.S. national park together, with plenty of international travel woven in along the way. That last part is where the points and miles obsession really comes in handy.
Droplets Financial is built on one belief: that most people aren't struggling financially because they're bad with money. They're struggling because nobody ever sat down with them, helped them make a real plan, and stayed in their corner while they worked it. That last part (the accountability, the check-ins, the "how did last week go?") is where the real change happens. Not in a spreadsheet.
My coaching is driven entirely by what's right for your situation. I don't push a particular app, platform, or methodology. Where referral programs exist for tools I'd recommend regardless, I'll always disclose that upfront and you're never obligated to use my link. Whether you like zero-based budgeting, the 50/30/20 rule, or want to build something from scratch, we'll find what works for you.
The internet has unlimited free financial advice, and people are still struggling. Because information was never the problem. A personalized plan, genuine accountability, and someone who stays in your corner: that's what changes behavior.
You probably know you should spend less than you earn. Knowing and doing are different things. Coaching addresses the emotional and habitual patterns that make change hard.
Your income, your family, your debt, your goals: they're unique. A plan built around your specific situation will always outperform one-size-fits-all frameworks.
It's easy to let yourself off the hook when you're going it alone. Having someone to check in with, celebrate wins alongside, and help you course-correct (without shame or pressure) makes consistency dramatically more likely than any app or spreadsheet ever could.
Book a free 30-minute discovery call. No pressure, no pitch: just an honest conversation about where you are, where you want to be, and whether having someone genuinely in your corner might make the difference.
